The Scientific Revolution

The Scientific Revolution was a period in time that brought about a new way of thinking that challenged the theory's of ancient Greek philosophers such as Aristotle who's philosophy's had been followed for hundreds of years. The scientific method was used to test theory's, it was a four step process. 1. State the problem or theory, 2. create a hypothesis, 3. use hypothesis to predict new observations, 4. preform the several experiments to test your predictions. Galileo used this method to test Aristotle's theory that heavy objects fell faster then lighter ones which was proven false by the use of the scientific method.
